If you haven't read this book, I highly recommend you do. It had a huge impact on me. “The Go-Giver” by Bob Burg and John David Mann is a short, impactful business parable that flips the traditional idea of success. Instead of focusing on getting, it emphasizes the power of giving.

A "go getter" is driven to get things for themselves. A "go giver" focuses on giving of them self to serve others. The difference is quite significant, and powerful. While the story is about a sales person, the lessons learned are applicable to any profession. It is in essence and outside-in versus an inside-out philosophy.

The authors stress that success isn’t about competition or self-interest - it’s about generosity, authenticity, and creating value for others. When you focus on giving, success naturally follows.

The Five Laws of Stratospheric Success

The Law of Value - Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment. Focus on creating value for others, not just profit.

The Law of Compensation - Your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them. The more people you help, the more rewards come your way.

The Law of Influence - Your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people’s interests first. Build genuine relationships and act with generosity.

The Law of Authenticity - The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself. Be real, be honest, and bring your full self to your work and relationships.

The Law of Receptivity - The key to effective giving is to stay open to receiving.

Success requires being open to blessings and opportunities in return.
