Pre-Interview Checklist

• Choose the clothes you’ll wear

• Print your resume and have it near you

• Test your camera and microphone

• Clean up your background

• Use a halo light if you have one

• Have room temperature water available (room cold water constricts vocal chords)

• Review the job description again and note the "must haves"

• Review your key phrases and unique value proposition – what you can do for them

• Review your STAR examples

• Review the notes from your research and the questions you will ask

• Confirm the date and time and who will be participating

• Silence your mobile phone

• Check the internet connection

• Close unused tabs

• Have your notes and questions printed and at hand

• Take a few deep breaths

• Smile before you speak

• Be yourself! Relax – You got this 😊
